Principal’s Welcome Letter

Principal's Welcome Letter

Dear Parents,

Welcome to The Perse School Singapore!

Here at The Perse we value both our UK heritage and our Singapore home.  With children belonging to more than fifteen different nationalities we celebrate diversity, nurture a sense of belonging and create a strong sense of identity. To support this our pastoral approach is centered around creating an environment where each child is known and listened to. Our nurturing approach is built on our belief that positive relationships are central to both learning and wellbeing. This is made achievable with both our small class sizes and small school campus.

Children at The Perse School Singapore are encouraged to take pride in their academic success and learn from their mistakes. The British Cambridge Curriculum encourages both curiosity as well as academic rigor; we do not just want children who answer questions, we want children who ask challenging questions too. Helping children to achieve ‘breadth and balance’ is one of the Perse values, and we encourage children to take full advantage of the range of opportunities beyond the classroom. In addition to extra-curricular activities and school trips we believe in student leadership and giving our children a voice; an active student council makes sure that the grownups are listening!

As the world slowly emerges from the Covid-19 pandemic, connection to others has become more important than ever before. At The Perse Singapore we want all our children and their parents to feel included in our Perse family. Our door is always open, please get in touch and arrange a visit to our small Boutique British school with big ideas.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Kindest Regards,

Benyna Richards
